In mobile x-ray-systems, so called C-arms, a laser cross visualises the axis of the x-ray beam and marks the exact point of x-ray. By this wrong radiograms are excluded, which results in a minimisation of the x-ray dose for the patient. For manufacturers of x-ray systems Z-LASER develops integrated and retrofit solutions. Depending on the application the lasers are either integrated in the image amplifier or the x-ray source section of the system.
Patient Positioning: CT and MRI For exact patient positioning in CTs and MRIs typically laser class 1 laser modules are used. Z-LASER supplies several manufacturers of such tomographs with custom fit modules.
Patient positioning: Radio Therapy
A laser cross and a laser light scale are projected on the patient from different positions to determine the distance between the patient and the radiation source. This allows an exact radiation source alignment to the patient. The light scale has been specially designed for the manufacturer of the radio therapy system.
